Daniel’s 5K Flight was established to honor the memory of Daniel D’Ambrosio who tragically passed away on July 31, 2008. During his short time here on earth, Daniel made a significant impact on the many people he encountered locally and globally.

Daniel made the world a better place to live through his angelic smile and his daily good deeds. As a result, a scholarship fund has been established in his name that will financially help a deserving 8th grade students from Notre Dame of Bethlehem School and 8th graders from St. Michael the Arch Angel School Bethlehem. This scholarship will allow Daniel’s memory to live on. He will never be forgotten but forever missed!!

It hardly seems possible, that we are readying ourselves for the 5th annual Daniel's 5k Flight. I would first like to extend my sincere thanks to each and everyone of you who helped make last year's "flight" successful. Because of your efforts, we were able to raise over $17,000. Your donations provided multiple scholarships to deserving students to continue his or her education to the three Allentown Diocesan High Schools. Monies raised, were also sent to aide the community of Newtown, CT in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary Tragedy. Hopefully, this year's "flight" will prove to be even more successful.

Daniels 5K flight is a 3.1 mile walk/run through historic downtown Bethlehem, PA.  The event starts and ends at the Danny Rice Plaza or the grassy area located in front of the Ice House (61 West Lehigh Street Bethlehem, PA 18018). Come out and enjoy a beautiful course and help support a great cause.
